Adobe Captivate 4 + AS3 RightClick

January 25th, 2009

I am very pleased to announce that my open source solution for capturing right click events in Actionscript 3 has been officially integrated into Adobe Captivate 4 software. I want to thank and congratulate all the people that contributed to the project with their ideas, code and feedback. Your input was invaluable!

Special thanks go to Dan Florio (aka PolyGeek) and Aarif Ali Saiyed.

    Hey Dani,

You can download the latest source zip from the project site at http://code.google.com/p/custom-context-menu/ by going to Downloads section.

As for now we do not have anything in SVN.

Hey Uza, I’m glad you blogged about this. I was going to but I only worked on this thing for about 30 minutes one morning before heading out the door to the 360Flex conference. You brought it home and made it something reliable – as reliable as Javascript can be.

    Fantastic work,
    dan

I am excited that Adobe added this to Captivate 4…I tried your demo in both IE and Firefox and it works great. However, when evaluating the Captivate 4 product, the right-click events are not working in Firefox. What gives? Did you create your demo using Captivate 4?

    Hi.
Is it possible to make this JavaScript to tell if the right mouse is pressed or released? I need the function in flash working only for as long the mouse button is pressed and finish when it’s off. Is it possible? Maybe you have any clues.
    Cheers.
