Adobe Captivate 4 + AS3 RightClick
January 25th, 2009I am very pleased to announce that my open source solution for capturing right click events in Actionscript 3 has been officially integrated into Adobe Captivate 4 software. I want to thank and congratulate all the people that contributed to the project with their ideas, code and feedback. Your input was invaluable!

hey uza great idea and great work.
i was looking through the google code project page and couldnt find the source. svn seems to be empty ?

Hey Dani,
You can download the latest source zip from the project site at http://code.google.com/p/custom-context-menu/ by going to Downloads section.
As for now we do not have anything in SVN.

Hey Uza, I’m glad you blogged about this. I was going to but I only worked on this thing for about 30 minutes one morning before heading out the door to the 360Flex conference. You brought it home and made it something reliable – as reliable as Javascript can be.

I am excited that Adobe added this to Captivate 4…I tried your demo in both IE and Firefox and it works great. However, when evaluating the Captivate 4 product, the right-click events are not working in Firefox. What gives? Did you create your demo using Captivate 4?

W0ow! I can’t believe it! Pure awsemonity ! xD xD xD xD xD What’s the catch? I saw the debugging, it doesn’t always work, right? How many % of average users can rightclick? TIA for Your answer.

Cant make work your solution using Flash Builder… seems like the SWFobject version is old, and I cant use the html tamplate either…
Any ideas?

Hi.
Is it possible to make this JavaScript to tell if the right mouse is pressed or released? I need the function in flash working only for as long the mouse button is pressed and finish when it’s off. Is it possible? Maybe you have any clues.
